Transfer Station

The Town of Winthrop operates a residential Transfer Station for the benefit and convenience of its residents. The Town provides refuse and recycling services Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 7:00am - 4:00pm.

Our goal is to furnish high quality service at a reasonable cost to Winthrop residents.

Winthrop Residents are required to show proof of residency in order to use the Transfer Station. New residents who may still have licenses or car registrations from out of town may show other forms of proof such as a mortgage statement, deed, utility bill, etc.

Transfer Station Permit Stickers are available only at the Transfer Station: $10 for first sticker and $2 for additional stickers per household per vehicle.
