CMP tree trimming to occur in coming months

Lucas Tree Experts on Tuesday, Feb. 18, began trimming trees on Main Street, the commencement of a months-long effort by Central Maine Power (CMP) to cut limbs back from electric lines.
The work on Main Street will continue intermittently over the next two weeks. Other Winthrop roads on which similar work will occur in the coming weeks and months are:
- Green Street.
- U.S. Route 202 between Annabessacook Road and the Manchester town line.
- Winthrop Center Road and its side roads.
Motorists are advised to use caution when passing work crews.
